Parathyroid Surgery

Parathyroid (calcium gland) surgery, while less commonly performed than thyroid surgery, requires no less experience or commitment to the latest techniques. We treat most patients with hyperparathyroidism (elevated calcium due to overactive parathyroid glands) with minimal access surgery ( a very small incision), augmented by intraoperative hormone assays and nuclear imaging modalities to achieve high long-term cure rates with minimally visible incisions.
