Breast surgery is evolving apace with the rapidly advancing approaches to breast cancer, emphasizing breast conservation, cosmetic excellence and improved long-term survival. We are committed to a multi-modality team approach and work very closely with the Breast Care Center of Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula as well as medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and pathologists here and at university centers to tailor each patient’s care to her needs.
The vast majority of our patients enjoy prospects of cure while preserving excellent breast cosmesis, all without traveling outside the Monterey Peninsula.
Certain benign breast conditions also occasionally require surgery and our group approaches these conditions with the dual goals of curing the problem and minimizing surgery to the patient’s breast.
